About Me

Many of you know that I live in Bloomington.  My husband, Rafael, is studying music composition at IU to earn his doctorate degree.  He has been in college for eleven years now!!!  We have a beautiful daughter, Novlyne Renee and our new baby, Ulysses James.  I spend most of my free time with Novlyne doing four year old things like painting, having tea parties, and going to the park.

We have a cat named Allegro (a musical term meaning fast).  She used to be fast when she was a kitten, now she just meows a lot!

This is my ninth year of teaching music (my fourth year at Hall).  I graduated from Green Run High School in Virginia Beach, VA in 1992.  I studied Music Education for four years at Longwood College in Farmville, VA.  I graduated from Longwood in 1996 and got my first teaching job in Louisa County, VA where I taught for two years.  I also taught for three years in Austin, TX before coming to Indiana.
