Welcome to our new student, Garrett.  He is fitting right in with the rest of our classroom.

Our field trip to Louisville and the cave went very smoothly.  Judging from the conversation in the room on Wednesday, the trip was a hit.  Thanks to all of our parents who went and helped out.

Grandparents’ Night, in conjunction with our Unique Invention Convention, was a huge success.  We had 34 grandparents visit our room, as well as, guest from the school to see our creations.  The students did an excellent job with their inventions, and we had a great deal of fun as well

We have a very short time left in this school year.  I always get a little sad right now.  I know it is time to move students onward, but it always tugs at my heart to know our days together will end very soon.

It is extremely important that students are able to quickly and effortlessly recall their multiplication
facts.

Other Important Info.
We are trying hard to win the hot dog picnic lunch for bringing in the most box tops for the fifth grade.  Please help us by saving your box tops and asking friends and relatives to check their boxes before throwing items in the trash. As of this week, we are in the lead.  Keep collecting box tops for us.
